What is a follow-up email?
After a call, Eagr can generate a follow-up email based on your conversation. The AI uses the transcript to write a personalized email with the key points discussed and the next steps.
All roles can use this feature.
How to generate a follow-up email
Step 1 — Open the email generator
- Go to Sessions and open the corresponding meeting
- In the action bar at the top, click the envelope icon (✉) labeled "Generate follow-up email"

Step 2 — Pick your template
Choose the template that fits your use case:
- Prospecting Follow-up — after a cold call or prospecting call
- Meeting 1 Follow-up — after a first meeting
- Meeting 2 Follow-up — after a second meeting
- Customer Follow-up — after a call with an existing customer
- Internal Meeting Recap — after an internal meeting

Any custom templates you've created will also appear in this list.
Step 3 — Hit Generate
Click Generate. The AI reads the transcript and writes your email in a few seconds.
If the transcript is too short, you'll see the message "The transcript is too short to generate an email." This usually happens with very brief calls — make sure there's enough conversation to work with.
Use your email
Once the email is ready, you'll see a Subject line and the full email body. You can edit this draft directly in the text editor.
From here you can:
- Regenerate — get a new version with the same settings
- Copy — copy the email to your clipboard
- Open in... — send it straight to Gmail or Mail app

Want to change your template? Click the back arrow to go back and pick a different one.
Customize your email templates
You can manage your email templates in Settings > Email Templates. To get there, click your name at the bottom left of the sidebar, then select Settings.
Eagr Templates
These are the five built-in templates provided by Eagr. You can't edit them directly, but you can:
- View a template to browse its settings
- Duplicate a template to create an editable copy in My Templates

My Templates
This is where your custom templates live. Click New to create one from scratch, or duplicate an Eagr template to use as a starting point.

When creating or editing a custom template, you can configure:
- Quick settings — Tone (Match the call / Formal / Casual), Reading time (~30 sec / ~1 min / ~2+ min), and Language (Call language / FR / EN). Match the call automatically detects the level of formality in the conversation and mirrors it in the email.
- Email subject — let the AI generate one from the content, or define your own pattern (e.g. "Follow-up [date] - [company]")
- Recap structure — toggle which elements to include when detected: key points discussed, decisions made, numbers and data
- Next steps — toggle owner per action and deadlines
- Instructions — free-text area passed directly to the AI, pre-filled with best practices. Edit it to match your needs.
- My writing style — turn on "Clone my style" and add up to 5 sample emails so the AI can learn your structure and formatting
- Meeting recording — toggle to include a shareable link to the recording at the bottom of the email

A live preview panel on the right lets you pick a recent call and see what the generated email looks like in real time.
Click Save when you're done, or Back to return to the template list.
