Understanding roles

The four roles in Eagr

Every user in Eagr has one of four roles. The role determines what data you can see and which features you can access.

User

The user role is for sales reps — the people who train on simulations and get their calls analyzed.

As a user, you can:

  • Run simulations and practice from the library
  • See your own scores, sessions, and stats
  • Use the AI Coach (limited to your own data)
  • Request the deletion of a call (your manager must approve it)

Manager

The manager role is for team leads who oversee a group of users.

As a manager, you have everything a user has, plus:

  • Access to the Team page — see your direct reports and their performance
  • Access to the Administration menu (Users, Personas, Simulations, Modules)
  • Ability to create and configure training modules
  • Ability to see the playbook
  • Ability to delete your calls directly (no approval needed) and the ones from your direct reports
  • AI Coach with visibility into your team's data

Director

The director role is for senior leaders who manage managers.

A director has the same features as a manager. The difference is visibility: you see your managers and all of their users' data.

Boss

The boss role is for executives who need a view of the entire organization.

A boss has the same features as a director. The difference is visibility: you see data across the whole company.

What changes between roles?

The features available to manager, director, and boss are identical. The only thing that changes is the scope of data visibility:

  • User — sees only their own data
  • Manager — sees their direct reports' data
  • Director — sees their managers and all users under them
  • Boss — sees the entire organization
Tip

In some cases, a user may need to see another user's data without being their manager and without any hierarchical link.

This is what the tutor system does: a user can be assigned as a tutor of another user. When you have tutees, you gain access to the Team page and can see their data — just like a manager would for their direct reports.

The tutor system doesn't change your role. You remain a user, but with additional visibility on your tutees.

How is a role assigned?

A role is assigned when a user is invited to the organization. For more details, see Invite a user.

The role can also be modified later. See Edit a user for instructions.
