Invite a user

Two ways to invite a user

Eagr offers two methods to add users to your organization:

  • Invite (by email): invite a specific person with a predefined role and settings. You can assign any role below yours in the hierarchy.
  • Invitation link: a shareable link that lets people self-onboard. Users who join via this link are automatically assigned the User role.

Method 1: Invite by email

  1. In the left sidebar, go to Administration > Users
  2. Scroll down to the Invitations section and click Invite

  1. Fill in the invitation form:
    • Email: the email address of the person you want to invite
    • Role: select the appropriate role (see the dedicated article on roles for details)
    • Manager in charge: assign a manager for this user
    • Segments: check the playbook segments to assign to this user
    • Tutor: optionally assign a tutor (a tutor can view the user's data without being their manager)
  2. Click Send

The invited person will receive an email. They will need to create their account (email, profile picture, password) and complete the onboarding steps. They are automatically logged in after setting up their password.

Tip

You can only invite users with a role below yours in the hierarchy. For example, a Manager can invite Users, but not other Managers.

Method 2: Invitation link

  1. In the left sidebar, go to Administration > Users
  2. Scroll down to the Invitations section and click Invitation link

  1. Copy the link and share it with the people you want to invite

Anyone with this link can self-onboard to your organization, regardless of their email address. Users who join via this link are automatically assigned the User role and will choose their manager during onboarding.

Manage pending invitations

The Invitations section displays all sent invitations with their status:

  • Accepted: the user has completed their onboarding
  • Expired: the invitation has expired

For expired invitations, click the three-dot menu (⋯) to access these actions:

  • Resend: send a new invitation email
  • Revoke: cancel the invitation

What if the invited person doesn't receive the email?

If the email doesn't arrive (spam filter, proxy, etc.), the invited person can still self-onboard if their email domain is recognized by Eagr.
